Privacy Policy
Elegant Catering Management (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Elegant Catering Management mobile app (the “app”). The app is an internal operations app for a catering and event-staffing company. Staff (crew) and administrators use it to manage events, assign crew to counters, record attendance by QR check-in and check-out, and calculate earnings, travel allowance, fines and advance payments. It is not a public consumer app and does not show ads.
This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account and identity
- Name, mobile number and alternate mobile number
- Email address (where given)
- Date of birth, gender and blood group
- Home address, district and state
- Profile photo
Identity verification
- The ID document number (for example Aadhaar, or another ID type you choose)
- Photos of the front and back of the ID
This is collected at registration so that administrators can verify staff before approving their account.
Work and attendance
- Assigned events and roles
- Check-in and check-out times
- A personal QR identification code
Location
- Your saved home location, used to show nearby events and to estimate travel distance and travel allowance.
- Your precise device location at check-in and check-out, used to confirm that you are present at the venue.
The app does not track your location in the background.
Payments
- Earnings, travel allowance, fines, penalties and advance payments
- Payment status

- A push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

2. Permissions the app asks for
- Camera – to scan QR codes and to take profile or ID photos.
- Photos / gallery – to choose a profile or ID image from your device.
- Location – for check-in and check-out and to show nearby events.
- Notifications – to send event and payment alerts.
3. How we use your information
- To verify your identity before your account is approved
- To run events and record attendance
- To calculate pay, travel allowance, fines and advances
- To send you notifications about events and payments
- For support and security
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the app, and only for these purposes:
- Cloud hosting – to run the app and store its data.
- Cloudinary – image storage.
- Firebase – push notifications.
- Google Maps – distance calculation and place search.
- Our email provider – sign-in and password-reset emails.
Administrators of the company can see staff data as needed to run events. We do not sell data.
5. Security
- Data is sent over HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored hashed.
- Access to data is limited by role.
6. Your rights and choices
- You can update your details in the app.
- You can ask us to correct your information.

7. Children
The app is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
